- Applying for social benefits (e.g., childcare allowance, welfare support)
- Verifying your address for rental agreements, immigration, or legal matters
What’s Included in a Juminhyo?
Your Juminhyo contains important personal information:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Current address
- Health insurance and pension details (if applicable)
- Resident Record Code (11-digit number)
For foreign residents, it also includes:
- Nationality
- Date of residency in Japan
- Visa status and expiration date
- Residence card number
How to Get a Juminhyo

1. Get a Juminhyo in Person (Best for Newcomers)
If you’re new to Japan, this is the easiest method.

If you have a My Number Card, you can print your Juminhyo at a 7-Eleven, Lawson, Family Mart, or Mini-Stop.

Steps:
- Check Eligibility – Make sure your My Number Card is activated for this service.
- Find a Kiosk – Use the multi-function kiosk inside the convenience store.
- Follow On-Screen Instructions:

- Choose the number of copies.
- Pay the fee and print your Juminhyo instantly.
💡 Tip: If the kiosk doesn’t work, double-check your PIN or try a different store.
