How it works

Three steps, no fees, no spam

  1. 1

    Tell us about you

Fill in the short form: your experience, visa status, Japanese level and the kind of work you want.

  2. 2

    We review it by hand

No algorithm spam. We compare your profile with roles shared by our partner companies and recruiters.

  3. 3

    You decide

When a role fits, we contact you first. Your details go to an employer or recruiter only after you say yes.

Step 1

Submit your CV to TIFE

Takes about 5 minutes. English or Japanese CVs are both fine.

Have these ready:

  • Your CV / resume (English or Japanese)
  • Your current visa / residence status
  • Your Japanese level (JLPT or self-assessed)
  • Full-time, part-time, or both

🔒 How we handle your information

  • Why we collect it: only to suggest jobs that match you and to contact you about them.
  • Who sees it: the TIFE team. We share your CV with a specific employer or recruitment partner only after you agree, role by role.
  • Never: sold, published, or added to marketing lists without your permission.
  • Your control: ask us to update or delete your data at any time through our contact page.

⚠️ How to spot a fake job offer in Japan

Scammers target foreigners on social media. Walk away if anyone:

  • Asks you to pay a fee for an interview, training, a visa or “registration”. Legitimate recruiters are paid by employers, not by you.
  • Wants a copy of your residence card, passport or bank card before you have even interviewed.
  • Offers high pay for vague work such as “just receive packages” or “withdraw cash”. These are often fraud-courier jobs, which are crimes.
  • Insists on chatting only through Telegram or a private account with no company name.

TIFE will never ask you for money to find a job. Read more: scams targeting foreign residents.

FAQ

Jobs in Tokyo for foreigners: common questions

Is TIFE’s job matching really free?

Yes. Job seekers never pay TIFE. If a partner company or recruiter hires through us, they cover any costs.

Can I get a job in Tokyo without speaking Japanese?

Yes, but there are fewer roles. English teaching, IT, international hospitality and roles in foreign companies are the most common. Submitting your CV helps, because many English-friendly jobs are filled through referrals before they are advertised.

Will you share my CV with companies?

Only with your permission. We contact you about a specific role first, and share your details with that employer or recruiter only after you agree.

Do you sponsor work visas?

TIFE is not an employer, so we don’t sponsor visas ourselves. Whether a role includes visa sponsorship depends on the employer. Tell us your current status in the form and we will only suggest roles that fit it.

Why do I need LINE to see the job lists?

LINE is how most people in Japan communicate, and openings change often. Posting them on LINE means you see new roles as soon as they are shared. The LINE account is free to create.

How do I update or delete my CV?
