Peter Chen
Tokyo International Friends & Events was founded by Peter Chen, a multicultural entrepreneur and international community leader passionate about bringing people together across cultures.
Born in Taiwan and raised in Costa Rica, Peter brings a uniquely global perspective to everything TIFE does. Having lived in Tokyo for over 18 years and experienced firsthand how isolating life in a new country can be, he built TIFE to be the community he wished had existed when he arrived.
Today, Peter leads a community of 35,000+ members, organizes 50+ events per month, and has helped tens of thousands of people make real friends and genuine connections in Tokyo.
