Got a visa renewal coming up? Better act fast! Starting April 1, 2025, visa application and renewal fees are going up—no, this isn’t an April Fools’ joke! If your residence card expires soon, you might want to submit your application before March 31, 2025, to dodge those extra charges.
Why the Sudden Price Hike?
Blame it on the “Cabinet Order to Partially Amend the Enforcement Order of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act”—(whew, what a mouthful!). The government decided it was time for a price adjustment, considering the last fee update was back in 1981. Yeah, that’s before some of us were even born! So, after over 40 years of keeping the fees steady, they’re finally bumping them up.
