Where are the board game events held in Tokyo?
TIFE board game events are held at venues around central Tokyo including リノスペKitchen in Nishishinbashi. Please check the specific Meetup event page for the exact venue — locations may occasionally vary.
Do I need to bring my own board games?
No — TIFE provides a wide variety of board and card games including Catan, Jenga, Uno, Splendor, Saboteur, Avalon and more. You’re welcome to bring your own games or Nintendo Switch too!
Can I join alone? Will I be put in a group?
Absolutely! Most participants come alone. TIFE puts you in a group so you’ll be playing and making friends within minutes of arriving. No experience needed — just show up!
What Nintendo Switch games does TIFE have?
TIFE has Mario Kart 8, Mario Party, Smash Bros Special, FIFA 23, NBA 2K23, and Super Mario Bros Deluxe. You’re also welcome to bring your own Switch and games!
Do I need to speak Japanese to join?
No Japanese required! Games are played primarily in English, but the TIFE team can assist. The event welcomes everyone — Japanese locals, international expats, tourists and travelers alike.
How much does the board game event cost?
