🌐 Also available: 繁體中文 | Español | 日本語

Our TIFE karaoke party was featured on TV. On October 12, 2026 at 18:15, TBS’s weekday program Nスタ (N-STA) aired a segment that included TIFE’s International Karaoke Party. We started this community with strangers singing in small rooms, so seeing it on TV makes us proud and very happy, and we want to say thank you.

TIFE karaoke party featured on TV: what aired on TBS Nスタ

According to the program’s planning brief, the segment was built around one question: “We asked foreigners: what is your favorite Japanese song?” A comedian interviewed foreign residents and visitors on the street, then went to karaoke with them and sang together, to show which songs international fans love. Our karaoke night was part of that story. Nスタ is TBS’s weekday evening program, and our segment went out at 18:15.

What this TV feature means to us

TIFE began as a small community group in 2015 and became a registered business in 2022. Today more than 35,000 members from 69+ countries are part of it. I have lived in Tokyo for 18+ years, and the thing I care about most has not changed: helping people who feel alone in a big city find friends. Karaoke is the easiest way I know to do that. Nobody needs a common language when everybody is singing the same chorus.

I will be honest about what a TV feature is. It does not make an event good. What it does is confirm, in front of many viewers, what our members have been telling us for years: an international karaoke night can be warm, funny and welcoming for Japanese people and visitors alike.

Thank you

  • To every member who sings with us: you are the reason the cameras had something worth filming.
  • To the TBS Nスタ team: thank you for including our community in your story.
  • To everyone who has shared a mic, a laugh or a first “hello” at a TIFE event: this one belongs to you.
