You already post your ramen nights, your hotel staycations and your weekend day trips. Restaurants and hotels in Japan want exactly that content, in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, for audiences overseas. The problem was always the same: they couldn’t find you, and you couldn’t reach them without speaking business Japanese. VisitClub fixes that, and it officially launches on November 1, 2026.
I’m Peter, 18+ years in Tokyo, founder of TIFE and a former hotel general manager. I’ve sat on both sides of these deals. I’ve already done VisitClub collaborations myself, so this guide is the honest version: what it is, who gets picked, and what to check before you sign up.

What is VisitClub?
VisitClub is an influencer matching platform built for inbound tourism. It’s run by UROF Inc., a Tokyo company based in Ikebukuro. It connects international creators who live in or visit Japan with businesses that want to reach foreign audiences: restaurants, hotels, cultural experiences and workshops, tourist attractions, and Japanese e-commerce brands.
The idea is simple. Japan is full of hidden gems: a family-run izakaya, a ryokan in a town nobody has heard of. Locals love them, but they’re invisible to the rest of the world because nobody tells their story in another language. VisitClub pays off when you are the person telling that story, in your own language, to your own followers.
Why join now, not in six months
VisitClub ran a beta from February 2026 and goes officially live on November 1, 2026. Two things make early sign-up worth it:
- A creator ranking system is coming. VisitClub plans to rank creators within 2026 based on their posting record and on whether they keep visit dates and posting deadlines. Creators who start early build that track record first.
- Businesses can scout you directly. Besides waiting for applications, businesses can search creators by language and area and send invitations. A complete profile is how you show up in those searches.
I’ve already done it: here’s one of my collabs
Before recommending this to 35,000+ TIFE members, I tested it myself. I applied, got selected, visited, and posted. Here’s one of the results:
What surprised me most as a former hotel GM: the business side is simple for the venue, too. They can chat with me in Japanese and I read it in English. That’s exactly why more venues will join, and more venues means more listings for you.
Who gets selected (be honest with yourself here)
Businesses review your account before they pick you. Signing up is easy, but getting chosen depends on your profile. Based on our partnership criteria with VisitClub, you’re a strong fit if you:
- ✅ Have 1,000+ followers on at least one platform
- ✅ Have posted within the last 90 days (an active account, not a dormant one)
- ✅ Run the account yourself (not a page you manage for someone else)
- ✅ Post about food, travel, hotels, lifestyle or Japan culture on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, RED (Xiaohongshu) or Naver Blog
Under 1,000 followers? Bookmark this page, keep posting, and come back when you hit it. A half-empty profile doesn’t help you or the venues.
How a VisitClub collaboration works: 4 steps
- Listing: A business posts what they want you to try (a menu, a stay, a workshop, a product) and what they expect in return.
- Apply: You browse listings, including on a map, pick an available date and time slot, and apply.
- Selection: The business checks your account and chooses who to invite.
- Visit and post: You go, experience it, and post on your own social media.
Everything happens inside the app: applications, scheduling, chat. You don’t have to hand out your phone number to every venue.

Join VisitClub with TIFE →How to sign up (3 minutes)
- Open the TIFE partner sign-up link. Use your phone’s main browser (Safari or Chrome), not the in-app browser of Instagram or LINE, so your sign-up is credited correctly.
- Enter your name and address (prefecture is required).
- Choose your display language: English, Japanese, Korean or Chinese.
- Add at least one social media link. Add your strongest account first.
- Set your email and password. The password needs 8+ characters with at least one uppercase letter, one number and one symbol.
- Confirm, then complete your profile before you start applying.
5 tips to actually get picked
Here’s the advice I’d give from the venue’s side of the table:
- Your last 9 posts are your résumé. Venues scroll your grid. Make sure your recent posts show food, places or experiences, not only selfies.
- Say who your audience is. A venue that wants Spanish-speaking tourists wants to know that your followers are in Mexico or Spain.
- Apply to what fits your style. A ramen account that applies to a luxury spa looks random. Focus wins.
- Never miss a date or a deadline. The upcoming ranking will be based partly on this. One no-show can cost you future invites.
- Tag the venue and share the post link in the chat. It’s the easiest way to get invited back.

⚠️ The honest fine print
- Every listing is different. What’s offered, what you must post, deadlines and any payment are all set by the business. Read the listing and confirm in the chat before you go.
- Signing up doesn’t guarantee invitations. Businesses choose. An active, focused account gets chosen more.
- Label your posts. Japan’s stealth marketing rules have applied since October 2023. Use #ad or #PR as the listing requires.
- Check fees. VisitClub’s FAQ says fees may apply depending on plan and region, and are shown before you confirm.

It officially launches on November 1, 2026, after a beta that began in February 2026.
How many followers do I need?
Businesses review your account before choosing you, so active accounts win. We recommend signing up if you have 1,000+ followers on one platform, have posted in the last 90 days, and run the account yourself.
Which platforms are supported?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, RED (Xiaohongshu) and Naver Blog. You need to add at least one.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
No. Messages are translated automatically, and the app is available in English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Do collaborations include free meals or payment?
It depends on the listing. Each business posts what they offer, the deliverables they expect, deadlines and any compensation. Confirm the details in the in-app chat before you visit.
Is it free to sign up?
The creator sign-up form asks for no payment. VisitClub’s FAQ notes that fees may apply depending on plan and region, and that any fee is shown before you confirm.
Do I have to label my posts as ads?
Yes. Japan’s stealth marketing rules have applied since October 2023, and VisitClub’s guidelines ask creators to use disclosures such as #ad or #PR.
