No partner needed at all! You can come completely solo. We rotate partners throughout the class so everyone gets to practice with different people. This is actually one of the best ways to improve quickly — and to meet new friends!
Is this class suitable for complete beginners?Beginners
Absolutely! The class is specifically designed for complete beginners. Honatsu Sensei starts from absolute basics — rhythm, posture, and simple steps — and builds progressively. You’ll be surprised how much you learn in just one session.
What dance styles are taught?Styles
The class covers Salsa, Bachata, and Cha-Cha — three of the world’s most popular and versatile social dance styles. These styles work at international parties, events, and social gatherings worldwide. As you advance, more styles and variations are introduced.
Where and when are classes held?Schedule
Every Thursday from 19:30 to 20:30 at Shinoda Sports Dance Club in Shinjuku (2-chōme-7-1, 不二川ビル 2F). Full directions are shared after you RSVP on Meetup. The venue is easily accessible by train.
How much does the class cost?Pricing
¥2,500 per class session. This includes the full one-hour lesson with Honatsu Sensei — warm-up, technique instruction, partner practice, and social dance time. No monthly commitment required; pay per class.
